ALEXANDRA & DARREL - MOUNT EPHRAIM

Photographing weddings at Mount Ephraim is always a pleasure, and Alexandra and Darrel’s September wedding was no exception.

Nestled in the Kent countryside, between Faversham and Canterbury, Mount Ephraim offers the perfect blend of country house charm and some of the best-kept outdoor spaces in the region. It’s a venue that truly has it all.

Alex spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids in the house, providing me with the ideal setting for some stunning dress shots, especially using the elegant staircase as a backdrop. Hanging the wedding dress over the handrail was a bit nerve-wrecking, but the final images were absolutely worth it!

The ceremony took place in the picturesque Edwardian Garden, bathed in the warm glow of the late summer sun. The staircase in the garden was perfect for a big group photo—always an essential shot on a wedding day!

Afterward, guests enjoyed reception drinks near the house before sitting down for the wedding breakfast, which was accompanied by some entertaining speeches.

We timed the couple’s portrait session to catch the golden hour, ensuring we captured those stunning, magical shots just as the sun began to set. After the obligatory cake cut and first dance, the evening was filled with dancing to some of Alex and Darrel’s favorite tunes, creating the perfect end to a wonderful day at Mount Ephraim.
