Danna & Tom – Ferry House Inn
Danna contacted me a few months ago regarding their winter wedding at The Ferry House Inn on the Isle of Sheppey. It turns out that we both used to work together many years ago, so it was really nice to catch up and meet Tom and their little girl.
Danna and Tom had opted for a twilight ceremony at Ferry House Inn which is located miles away from the nearest town or village so is super dark. With Tom getting ready in the newly built ‘Powder Room’ it was nice to jump across and cover a little bit of groom preparations and get some shots of all the grooms party together before the ceremony.
The 4.30pm ceremony meant there was no natural light, however this just added to the ambience of the barn at Ferry House Inn. Having a Christmas wedding always adds lots of atmosphere and plenty of fairy lights.
Danna and Tom braved the chilly temperatures of late November to head down to the gardens of the Ferry House Inn for some night time portraits. A bit of flash added and the bride and groom have some stunning photos to look back on in years to come.
Having a winter twilight wedding means we had no light outside to do a confetti shot, however we made up for this by having a sparkler run after the first dance. This was a lot of fun (but again, slightly chilly!) but the photos will be a lovely way to round off Danna and Tom’s wedding album.
I wish your little family all the best for the future and hopefully we cross paths again in the future!
