HANNAH & GRANT - THE ORANGERY

WHAT A YEAR IT’S BEEN SO FAR!

We are only in June but I’ve had the pleasure of being part of so many awesome weddings so far this year.

Hannah & Grant’s wedding day at The Orangery was very special. Not only was it a perfect day by it’s own right, but it was the first time I’ve been back since I had my wedding reception at the Orangery a good few years ago. Fortunately I’ve been back several times since photographing Hannah & Grant’s wedding day.

Hannah got ready in the lovely Wisteria Suite, with plenty of natural light coming in. It is the perfect space for those getting ready photos. Hannah met with her Dad shortly before the ceremony in a very heart warming moment. However, it was Hannah’s Mum who had the pleasure of walking the Grant’s wife to be over the bridge before handing Hannah over to her Dad for the final few steps into the ceremony.

After a lovely ceremony, we organised the perfect confetti shot by the water. We also had a few minutes to wander off and do a few portraits of the newlyweds as well as completing the obligatory family group shots.

After the wedding breakfast we were treated to some gorgeous evening light. So we grabbed the bridesmaids and groomsmen and had a few minutes with each of the groups to do something a little bit different and to have a bit of a laugh.

We thne continued to soak up the evening light by walking up to the top end of the lake. This time it was just Hannah & Grant taking a few moments to themselves to reflect on their wedding day.

With so many awesome shots in the bag, we got Hannah & Grant back just as the party started to share their first dance and to photograph some of the party.

Just before it was time to leave, we popped up to the Lappa (a lovely outside ceremony area at The Orangery) to create some shots as we lost the evening light. It was well worth taking the time to do this, you’ll have to scroll to the very end to see those photos!
