Joanna & Jon – Havenfield Hall
I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Joanna and Jon's wedding day at the stunning Havenfield Hall. Havenfield Hall is a stunning mansion set in countryside down near Folkestone on the south coast. Havenfield Hall is relatively new to offering itself as a wedding venue. It's such a lovely place I'm sure it'll be very popular with couples in the years to come. It's a family business and they really care about your wedding day.
Joanna and Jon's big day came and on my first visit to Havenfiled Hall I knew this was going to be a cracking wedding. After a few wet days previously, the sun shone for their wedding day with a beautiful outside ceremony in the grounds of Havenfield Hall. This allowed the guests to take full advantage of the gardens, relaxing and playing outside games in the downtime from the ceremony to the formal reception.
After the reception, we were treated to some gorgeous light so me Joanna and Jon went for a walk to capture some stunning portraits and then headed back to the party. Unfortunately, the weather took a bit of a turn for the worse during the evening. The heavens opened, but this did not stop the party atmosphere. Many guests just carried on dancing in the rain, and it was something so good to see! Fortunately it wasn't much of a shower so the party could carry on into the night.
Of course, one of my weddings wouldn't be complete without popping out when the sun's dropped away for some night time portraits. For this we utilised the beautiful little wooden gazebo at Havenfield Hall, as well as utilising the front entrance of Havenfiled Hall to create a dramatic photo to end the day.
It's on days like this, where as a Kent wedding photographer, I truly love my job. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of this wedding. I wish Joanna and Jon all the very best for the years to come.
