THE ORANGERY WEDDING

The Orangery is an elegant, light-filled wedding venue, surrounded by beautifully kept gardens and of course the lake and waterfall. Its relaxed yet refined atmosphere made it the perfect setting for Lydia and Jarrod’s wedding day.

Lydia spent the morning getting ready on site, enjoying a calm and joyful start to the day in the Wisteria Suite with her closest friends and family. The unhurried pace gave me time to move between preparations, checking in with Jarrod as he got ready and capturing the quiet excitement building as guests began to arrive. Once Lydia was ready, she shared a private moment with her Dad, a simple but incredibly meaningful pause before the day truly began.

The ceremony took place at The Lapa, overlooking the lake and framed by greenery. It was an emotional and heartfelt ceremony, setting the tone perfectly for the celebrations to follow. Afterwards, everyone gathered outside for confetti and a full group photo while spirits were high and smiles came easily.

As guests drifted into the gardens with drinks in hand, the afternoon unfolded naturally. This gave me the chance to work in a relaxed, documentary style, capturing genuine interactions, laughter and all the little moments in between. We kept the group photos smooth and efficient, leaving plenty of time for everyone to enjoy themselves before heading inside for the wedding breakfast. Just before Lydia and Jarrod were announced, we slipped away briefly to take advantage of the soft daylight and peaceful surroundings.

Following the speeches, I blended back into the background, documenting the energy of the day as it built towards the evening.

Once the cake had been cut and the first dance was complete, the light outside turned beautifully warm. With the gardens glowing, we headed out for a final set of portraits, a quiet moment together that rounded off the day perfectly.

Lydia and Jarrod’s wedding at The Orangery was filled with warmth, laughter and effortless joy from beginning to end, and it was a pleasure to capture such a memorable celebration in such a stunning setting.
