WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AT SOLTON MANOR
Where is Solton Manor?
Solton Manor is a Grade II listed manor house tucked away in East Langdon, near Dover, with history stretching all the way back to the Domesday Book. Set across 9-10 acres of gardens, wildlife ponds, and countryside, it's got that lovely mix of proper old-school charm and a bit of modern glam, with a beautifully converted Dutch Barn sitting alongside the historic house itself.
You can say "I do" outdoors in the romantic, ruined-walled Godric's Garden under an oak-framed summerhouse, or head inside to the Tudor Hall or Bell Tower Barn if the weather's not playing ball. Either way, you're covered.

WEDDINGS AT SOLTON MANOR

What Solton Manor the perfect wedding venue?
You get exclusive use of the whole estate at Solton Manor, so no sharing your day with anyone else, and the team there really do look after you from start to finish. There's a proper on-site wedding coordinator too, so you're not left figuring things out on the fly.
Both wedding parties get their own space to get ready, the Pamper Suite in the Manor House and Dovecote Cottage, which always makes for some great relaxed, candid shots before the ceremony kicks off.

Is Solton Manor the right venue for you?
If you're after somewhere that feels genuinely historic but doesn't take itself too seriously, Solton Manor's a great shout.
From behind the camera, it's a brilliant venue to work with. Godric's Garden has this lovely faded, romantic, ruined-walls feel that photographs beautifully in any light, the Dutch Barn's floor-to-ceiling windows are great for softer indoor shots overlooking the gardens and lake, and the grounds give you loads of quiet spots to sneak off for a few couple portraits once the drinks reception gets going. As it starts to get dark, a walk around the lake is honestly one of my favourite parts of the day here.

Who Is This Wedding Venue Perfect For?
Rustic-meets-elegant couples, the mix of the historic Manor House and the sleek converted barn means you don't have to choose between rustic charm and a more contemporary feel.
Couples who want both indoor and outdoor options, with Godric's Garden, the Tudor Hall, the Bell Tower Barn, and the Dutch Barn all licensed for ceremonies, you've got plenty of backup plans if the British weather does its thing.
Couples wanting a weekend affair, with 12 bedrooms sleeping up to 24-28 people across the Manor House and Dovecote Cottage, it's great for couples who want family and friends staying over and making a proper weekend of it.
Party-loving couples, the Dutch Barn's fully stocked bar, stage, and lighting rig mean the evening reception here can really go for it.
Intimate wedding couples, the Bell Tower Barn seats up to 60, so it's a lovely option if you're after something smaller and cosier rather than a huge blowout.
Exclusive-use seekers, since you get the whole estate to yourselves, it suits couples who want total privacy on their big day.
If you're planning your wedding at Solton Manor and looking for a Kent wedding photographer who's into natural light, real moments, and telling the story of your day rather than stiff posed shots, I'd love to hear from you.
This is genuinely one of those venues that's just a joy to shoot, relaxed, beautiful, and never short of a great spot for photos.
