Carla & Jack – North Barn, Aylesford Priory

Wedding

Remember that super hot Saturday in June? That was the day of Carla and Jack's wedding day at the North Barn. The temperature was easily into the 30's and it was super hot all day. I started at bridal preparations at Carla's Mums place in Maidstone. After a super relaxed morning, we were off to Boughton Monchelsea church for a lovely ceremony. I love a church wedding, the insides of churches always make for spectacular photographs. After a confetti run and the group shots (outside in the blistering heat!) we were then off to the North Barn at Aylesford Priory. Now, I didn't know this place even existed until I popped by there a few weeks before Carla and Jacks wedding day. A hidden gem located as you head up through Aylesford Village.

The barn was dressed so beautifully and offered a bit of refuge away from the scorching sun. After the meal and speeches we went for a walk around Aylesford Priory. We were treated to some of the best light I've seen this wedding season. After a super chilled time with the couple (and plenty of laughs) we grabbed the needed shots and then headed back for some cold drinks. It was still super hot even at 7PM.

The party went on into the night, and the dance floor was rocking. The band ensured that the dance floor was packed all evening. There is no real replacement for a good live band. As the light fell we popped round the corner for some of my signature shots, which was a great way to end the day. And for me to head home for a cold shower!

Carla and Jack, I wish you all the best for the future. I genuinely had the best time photographing your wedding day.
