Toni & John – Weald of Kent, Maidstone
I had the pleasure of photographing Toni & John's wedding day at The Weald of Kent in early October. I first met Toni and John about 18 months ago when they first enquired about having me photograph their wedding. Although it was a long way off at the time, it soon came around quickly. The day started off with the bridal party getting ready at Toni and John's family home in Sittingbourne. The bubbles were flowing and bridal prep was seriously relaxed, busy, but no dramas here! A lovely gift from John got Toni a little bit emotional. After the girls were ready we were off to the The Weald of Kent for the ceremony and reception.
After the ceremony the weather wasn't great. But as we ran through the list of group photos the sun came out and things got a little brighter. We did a few shots of the bridal and groom's party out by the lake and managed to squeeze in some shots of Toni and John just in case the weather turned for the worse later on in the day.
After the wedding breakfast we were treated to a show by Ashley Green, who is a mind reader and to this day I still don't understand some of the stuff he managed! Just after the speeches we were treated to some of the best light I've seen all year. Admittedly it lasted all of about 5 minutes but it didn't take long to get some stunning portraits for Toni and John. The Weald of Kent offers plenty of stunning backdrops for your wedding portraits and when the light works in our favour too, the results are awesome.
As the evening rolled in and the first dance and cake cutting were completed, we popped out for the last time to grab some night time portraits of the newlyweds. As the fog rolled in the wedding party went on into the night!
I loved photographing your day Toni & John, I wish you and the boys a very happy future!
